Natural Diamonds
Every natural diamond in this collection crystallised somewhere between one and three billion years ago, roughly 150 kilometres down, and reached the surface in a volcanic eruption that happened long before anything walked on land. That history is the entire reason mined stones are priced the way they are, and it is worth being clear about: you are paying for scarcity and provenance, not for any optical property a grown stone lacks.
Because supply is finite and uneven, the pricing behaves in ways worth exploiting. Price steps at the round weights, not at the millimetre, so a 0.92ct and a 1.00ct look the same on the hand and do not cost the same. Faint fluorescence is discounted well beyond any visible effect. Certain shapes — marquise, pear, emerald — are cut from awkward rough and priced by how much of it survives, which is why a 1.50ct emerald cut can undercut a 1.50ct round.
What we do not discount is cut. A poorly proportioned mined stone is still a poorly proportioned stone, however old it is.
Every diamond here carries its original GIA, IGI or HRD report, and every one can be viewed in 360° before you commit to it.
