2 Carat Cushion Cut Diamonds

A two carat cushion is around 7.5 mm square, or close to 9 mm long if elongated. At this scale the shape stops being a soft alternative to a round and becomes its own thing — broad, warm and unmistakably antique in feel.

Facet pattern is now the entire decision. A crushed-ice cushion at two carats can look busy and slightly milky in low light, while a chunky one throws large distinct flashes and reads closer to an old European cut. Neither is objectively better, but at this size the two look nothing alike and cost roughly the same. Compare candidates in the 360° view; the still photographs will not tell you which is which.

Grades can stay relaxed. The cushion is the most forgiving shape we stock for both colour and clarity, so H and SI1 remain safe at two carats where a round or an emerald cut would not. That tolerance is exactly what makes the shape efficient at statement size.
